MANCHESTER, CT : Driver crashes into a building in Manchester on Friday, 21st July 2023

A landmark Manchester business had some heavy damage after a driver smashed through its front window on Friday morning.

Bray Jewelers has been around since 1915, and in its downtown location for more than 30 years.

The owner said nothing like this has happened before, and he hopes it never happens again.

“I saw a car right in the shop there,” said Beverly Prutting, who works in Manchester. “I was concerned about the people inside and the people that own the store. I know they’ve been around quite a few years.”
