Fairview Park , OH : I-480 EB reopened at Grayton after person struck and killed on Tuesday ,june 30th 2015

An accident on Interstate 480 eastbound near Grayton Road involved a person who was outside of their vehicle.

Fairview Park Police received a 9-1-1 call from a motorist on I-480 eastbound reporting a pedestrian struck by a bread truck near the Cleveland Metroparks bridge, west of the airport exit.

Fairview Park Police and Fire units responded and, with the assistance of North Olmsted Police and Cleveland Police, the highway was closed down.

A Metro Life Flight medical helicopter was requested and responded to the scene. The doctor on the trauma team pronounced the man in his thirties dead at the scene.

The Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner's Office was notified and responded to the incident location.

Information on the victim will be released upon confirmation of identity and notification to the victim's family.

Fairview Park Police, in conjunction with the Ohio State Highway Patrol, are still investigating the circumstances leading to the death.
