Lafayette, IN : Man dies in single-car crash in Crawfordsville on Sunday morning, June 19, 2016

A man died Sunday morning after a single-vehicle accident in Crawfordsville, said Sgt. Geoff Payne of the Crawfordsville Police Department.

Daniel Gaskins, 27, was driving south in the 800 block of U.S. 231 when he lost control of his vehicle, went off the road and hit a light pole, Payne said. No one else was involved in the accident, and Gaskins was killed instantly, Payne said.

Another driver in the area reported the incident, which occurred at 7:10 a.m., Payne said.
