Miami Township,OH : Car fleeing Ohio police crashes, driver in critical condition on February, Sunday 25th 2018

A vehicle that sped off during an attempted traffic stop by police crashed, leaving the drive in critical condition, reports say.

The crash occurred after a police officer tried to pull over a car that was driving erratically at about 7:39 p.m., WCMH Channel 4 reports.

The driver refused to pull over, at one point turning off his headlights, police tell Fox28.com.

He crashed into a pole shortly afterward in Clinton Township at a high rate of speed.

The driver is in critical condition at Grant Medical Center in Columbus, reports say. There were no other injuries.

Mifflin Township is just northeast of Columbus.
