Harrison Township, MI : Two men are dead after a wrong-way crash along Interstate 94 on Tuesday evening October 14th 2014
Two men are dead after a wrong-way crash Tuesday evening on I-94 in Harrison Township.
Michigan State Police said 72-year-old Larry McCullough got on I-94 at Shook going east in the westbound lanes. McCullough's Toyota Prius collided head-on into 41-year-old Arron Skiba's Dodge Neon, police said.
"(He was) going east on the westbound lanes and he was in the fast lane of westbound lanes, came over this hill," said MSP Sgt. Shelia Shields.
Police said McCullough was pronounced dead at the scene. Skiba was rushed to McLaren Macomb Hospital, but died.
Police said they are investigating whether McCullough was driving drunk.
"You could smell the alcohol in the vehicle," said Shields.
No one else was hurt.
"No other cars were hit surprisingly because we had several people jump out of that lane," said Shields.
