Canton,OH : Three-vehicle crash in Perry injures two on May,Friday 25th 2018
Two people were taken to Mercy Medical Center with non life-threatening injuries Friday morning following a three-vehicle crash.
According to investigators at the scene, the driver of a Ford Freestyle SUV heading east on Southway Street SW collided with a Canton Chair Rental box truck, which was traveling west in the 4000 block just before 11 a.m.
The SUV appeared to continue east on Southway before striking a rental van owned by Selinsky Force rental agency that was at a stop sign on Hopple Avenue SW.
Officers from the Perry Police Department were assisting the Ohio Highway Patrol, rerouting traffic while troopers investigated the crash.
According to a patrol trooper, one motorist was walking around and taken to the hospital as a precaution. The trooper was uncertain of the other driver’s condition, but said the injuries were not life-threatening.
Medics from the Perry Fire Department transported the two patients and also checked out another motorist at the scene.
