Provo, UT : One person is dead and another injured after a crash on February, Monday 12th 2018

One person is dead and another injured after a crash that occurred at about 3:30 p.m. Monday at 4639 S. Redwood Road near Saratoga Springs.

A truck carrying a male driver and female passenger was headed northbound on Redwood Road when the truck rolled and hit a power pole, according to David Johnson, Saratoga Springs spokesman.

The female passenger was injured and transported by ambulance to a local hospital, Johnson added. The names have not been released pending family notification.

Rocky Mountain Power crews were on scene to remove downed wires and address a downed utility pole. When that is cleared, the Saratoga Springs Police Department will continue to conduct an investigation.

As of 8:30 p.m. the site was opened, but was restricted to one lane with flaggers allowing two-way traffic while Rocky Mountain Power continued repairs on downed power lines and a transformer.
