NEW HAVEN, CT : 1 dead after wrong-way, head-on crash on I-95 on Wednesday, 28th June 2023

A man was killed in a wrong-way crash on I-95 in New Haven early Wednesday morning.

A collision was reported on I-95 southbound at the Pearl Harbor Memorial Bridge around 2:25 a.m.

State police say a preliminary investigation revealed that a wrong-way driver was traveling northbound in the southbound lanes of I-95 near exit 48 when a collision occurred.

Firefighters were called to respond after a fire ignited inside one of the vehicles involved in the collision.
