LOUISIANA, MO : Distracted driver injured in Pike County crash on Monday, 25th February 2019

A Louisiana woman was injured Monday morning in a crash in Pike County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports a 2005 Dodge Grand Caravan driven by Meagan E. Cox, 31, of Louisiana, was eastbound on Pike County Road 255, west of Pike County Road 252, at 9:05 a.m. The patrol said the driver was distracted, causing the vehicle to travel off the right side of the road. The driver overcorrected to the left and then back to the right, the patrol said, before the vehicle traveled off the right side of the road and overturned into a ditch.

Cox, who was wearing a seat belt, was taken by Air Evac to SSM St. Joseph Hospital Lake St. Louis with moderate injuries.
