One person was injured in a two-vehicle crash on I-24 East near Shelby Avenue.

Police said a semi-truck swerved into the path of a car and the front of the car got caught under the wheels of the trailer.

Police said the truck driver did not stop.

The passenger in the car was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

A second accident on I-65 South near Fern Avenue likely happened in the backup of the I-24 wreck. There were no reported injuries, but several cars were parked on the shoulder after the accident.
