San Clemente, CA : Big-rig with crane falls across Interstate 5 in Orange County on Thursday, October 30, 2014
An overturned crane on the back of a big rig has slowed traffic to a crawl on Interstate 5 in south Orange County.
The California Highway Patrol says the Thursday afternoon could keep freeway lanes closed into Friday.
The CHP says the truck driving on the northbound side at about 3 p.m. crashed into a center divider and fell over, sending concrete on to the southbound side and fuel across the freeway.
Southbound lanes were reopened and the fuel was cleaned up about 90 minutes after the crash, but all northbound lanes remained closed hours later and could stay that way until early Friday.
Traffic was being allowed to pass on the freeway's shoulder.
