Enfield, CT : Man killed after he was hit by a school van on U.S. Route 5 in Enfield on Wednesday, February 17, 2016

Police say a man was killed after he was hit by a school van in Enfield.

It happened on U.S. Route 5 near Interstate 91 at around 6:15 a.m. Wednesday. Police say the man was taken to Hartford Hospital where he died of his injuries. His identity is being withheld until his family can be notified.

Police say no students were in the van during the crash. Authorities are investigating.
