The Sandusky Post Of The Highway Patrol Is Currently Investigating a Fatal Motorcycle Crash That Occurred On May 8, 2015 At Approximately 5:20 Am. The Crash Occurred On Sr101 At The Intersection Of Howard Drive In Margaretta Township, Erie County.
Unit #1: 1995 Chevy Blazer. The Blazer Sustained Heavy Damage As a Result Of The Crash And Was Towed From The Scene By Sandusky Towing.
Driver #1: Donald l. Yontz, Age 73, Thorpe Drive Sandusky. Mr. Yontz Suffered Non-Life Threatening Injuries And Was Transported From The Scene To Firelands Hospital By Margaretta Fire And Ems.
Unit #2: 2004 Harley Davidson. The Motorcycle Sustained Severe Damage As a Result Of The Crash And Was Towed From The Scene By Sandusky Towing.
Driver #2: Dwight d. Gregory Jr, Age 45, Bardwell Rd. Castalia, Oh. Mr. Gregory Sustained Fatal Injuries And Was Transported From The Scene To Ransom Funeral Home. Mr. Gregory Was Not Wearing a Helmet At The Time Of The Crash.
Crash Summary: Unit #1 Was Traveling Southwest On Sr101. Unit #2 Was Traveling Northeast On Sr101. Unit
#1 Attempted To Turn Left Onto Howard Drive And Struck Unit #2 Head On. After Impact, Unit #1 Traveled Off The Northeast Side Of Howard Drive And Came To Rest. Unit #2 Overturned Ejecting Mr. Gregory From The Motorcycle.
