Raeford, N.C : Two people died, one injured in two-car crash on U.S. Highway 401 on Wednesday night, November 23, 2016
Police said alcohol is suspected in a Wednesday night wreck in Raeford that killed two people and injured at least one more.
Officials said Gil Garcia, of Fayetteville, was driving at a high rate of speed on U.S. Highway 401 Business around 10:20 p.m. inside Raeford city limits. Garcia crashed into the back of another vehicle that had a family in it.
The family's vehicle overturned, killing a male and a female inside. Neither person was identified. Another man in the car was taken to the hospital, and a 9-year-old was also in the car, but the child's condition was not released.
Police suspect alcohol was a factor in the crash, and other charges are pending.
