Sacramento,CA : Woman, two children hit by car on Watt Avenue in Arden Arcade area on may, Thursday 25th 2017

A woman and two children were taken to an area hospital after they were struck by a vehicle on Watt Avenue north of Arden Way.

The collision occurred about 4:38 p.m. Thursday on northbound Watt Avenue. The woman and children were jaywalking and stepped out in the path of a Toyota Corolla, said Officer Chad Hertzell, a California Highway Patrol spokesman.

Hertzell said the three were to taken to area hospitals with what appeared to be minor injuries.

The driver remained at the scene and was cooperating with officers, he said.

Northbound Watt Avenue was closed to traffic for a short time for the investigation and has reopened.
