Vancouver, WA: Vancouver man ejected from car, in serious condition on Friday, July 24th 2015

A Vancouver man suffered serious injuries after he was ejected from his car in a crash early Friday morning.Derek Ward, 26, was driving south on Northeast 152nd Avenue shortly after 2 a.m. when he drove off the road, into a field and rolled his car at the 10900 block, according to the Clark County Sheriff's Office.The car rolled on top of Ward, pinning him underneath, the sheriff's office said.After deputies were able to get Ward out from under the car, he was flown to Peace Health Medical Center with serious injuries. His current condition is unknown.Ward was not wearing a seat belt and speed was a factor in the crash, according to the sheriff's office. It is not known whether drugs or alcohol was a factor.
