Lasvegas, NV : Minivan sought in weekend hit-and-run crash on Sunday September 18 2016

Metro Police say they are searching for a minivan involved in a hit-and-run crash in which a scooter rider was critically injured.

The scooter was west on Searles Avenue about 10:10 a.m. Sunday when it collided with the minivan, which was south on 21st Street and ran a stop sign, police said.

The scooter hit the left side of the minivan, ejecting the rider, police said. The rider, Phillip Porter, 56, of Las Vegas, was taken to University Medical Center.

The minivan continued driving south on 21st Street, police said. It was described as a 1999 to 2004 Honda Odyssey with a dark blue metallic paint job. The vehicle has left side damage and a broken passenger window, police said.

Police did not have a description of the driver of the minivan.
