Norman, OK : School bus crash sends 15 children to hospital on Wednesday afternoon July 2nd 2014
More than a dozen children attending summer camp are recovering after a school bus crash near the University of Oklahoma campus Wednesday afternoon.
It happened on west Lindsey Ave. at College Ave.
Norman Police officers say a blue Mazda was traveling northbound through the intersection when it was struck by a black Range Rover traveling westbound.
According to officers, the Mazda spun and was then struck head-on by the school bus, which was traveling east.
The bus was carrying 38 children, ages 7-10, as well as five adults from a YMCA day camp.
15 children and the driver of the Mazda were taken to the hospital with minor injuries. None of the injuries are considered serious.
