BEXAR COUNTY, TX : 10 children injured after East Central ISD bus crashes with big rig on Thursday, 29th August 2024

An East Central ISD school bus crashed against a big rig in east Bexar County, causing minor injuries to roughly 10 children, according to the school district.

The crash happened early Friday morning in the 10500 block of U.S. Highway 87 East.

Brandon Oliver, East Central ISD’s director of Marketing and Communications, said many of the children’s injuries were scrapes and bumps.

An email from the district on Friday evening said that 13 children and one adult were transported, all with minor injuries.
