Wolfeboro, N.H : 2 adults, 1 child injured in head-on crash in Wolfeboro on Thursday afternoon, February 25, 2016

Three people were seriously injured in a two-car crash in Wolfeboro Thursday afternoon.

Town officials said emergency personnel were called to Route 28 -- or Center Street -- just north of the Trotting Track Road intersection around 12:30 p.m.

Wolfeboro Police Capt. Dean Rondeau said Sarah Kelley, 31, of Tuftonboro, was driving north on Center Street when her car collided head-on with another car, being driven by Tannah L. Curtis, 27, of Dover.

Wolfeboro Fire-Rescue Deputy Chief Tom Zotti said both drivers had to be extricated from their cars and that one of them took about 35 minutes to free from the wreckage.

Curtis' daughter, who is a juvenile, was also injured in the crash. All three were transported to Huggins Hospital with multiple injuries.

Center Street was closed for about two-hours after the crash.

The crash remains under investigation.

Rondeau said speed does not appear to be a factor, "but drugs or alcohol may have been involved."

Officials said the scene was clear at 2:25 p.m.
