ANDERSON, SC : Coroner identifies Upstate man killed in Anderson County collision on October 4th 2016
An Upstate man suffered fatal injuries after a two car collision in Anderson County, according to Highway Patrol.
The Anderson County coroner reports 77-year-old Weldon Edward Holder from Piedmont succumbed to his injuries after being involved in a collision on Sept 29 at 8:30 p.m. The crash occurred near Williams Road at Whitten Road, troopers said.
According to the report, Holder was traveling South on US 29 when he hit the driver of a 2007 Ford SUV in the rear of the vehicle. The driver was facing South on US 29 and stopped for traffic before making a left turn, troopers said.
Holder was wearing a seat belt at the time of the collision and was transported by EMS before he succumbed to his injuries, the report said.
