Billings, MT : Motorcyclist dies in Richland County wreck on Saturday, March 18, 2017

A 44-year-old Fairview man died Saturday after a motorcycle crash in Richland County.

The wreck occurred at about 6 p.m. on Highway 16 near Savage, according to Montana Highway Patrol.

The man was riding a Harley-Davidson northbound in a group with two other motorcycle riders. The road was clear and dry but some gravel was present on the pavement.


The man's motorcycle lost traction and he started swerving. The bike crossed into the southbound lane and struck a guardrail. The rider was thrown from the bike. When he hit the ground the motorcycle flipped over him, MHP said.
