State police were busy Monday investigating two fatal motor vehicle incidents in the area, according to an official, although details on one of the wrecks was not provided.
The first accident occurred Sunday at about 12 p.m. along state Route 23 in Roxbury, according to Trooper Nathan Riegal, Troop C public information officer. It involved a motorcycle and an SUV.
The accident killed a 50-year-old Oneonta woman and injured her husband, according to a Monday media release.

Elizabeth Betancourt was ejected and fell into the path of a westbound 1995 Honda Pilot driven by Isaac Abramchayev, 38, of Fresh Meadow, the media release said. Betancourt was declared deceased at the scene by a Delaware County coroner.
Yamir Betancourt was treated at the scene for abrasions to his right knee and left forearm, which required no further medical attention. Abramchayev was not injured.
Emergency personnel from Grand Gorge EMS and the Grand Gorge Fire Department assisted at the scene, as did Cooperstown Medical Transport, the release said. The investigation is ongoing.
