La Crosse,WI : 19-year-old Sparta man killed in crash on May, Saturday 5th 2018

A 19-year-old Sparta man last seen leaving a bar late Saturday died after he was partially ejected from his car, according to Sparta police.

Police found Joshua J. Michel's car in a creek near Walrath Street and Heather Avenue about 11:40 a.m. Sunday.

Officers determined Michel was driving east when he left the road, crossed the creek and landed on large rocks. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Michel was last seen leaving Harris Crossing Bar about 11:30 p.m. Saturday, police stated. Police believe alcohol and speed contributed to the crash.
