Stillwater, OK : A two-vehicle collision on April, Wednesday 19th 2017
A 10-year-old girl from Glencoe was taken by ambulance to Oklahoma City with head, arm and internal chest injuries after she was involved in a two-vehicle collision Wednesday morning.
The collision occurred 6 miles south of Glencoe at about 8 a.m., according to a report from the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, at the intersection of McElroy Road and State Highway 108. The report reads that 22-year-old Kristen Kelsey of Stillwater was driving north on the highway and attempted to turn left onto McElroy Road in her 2012 Toyota as a 2008 Ford pickup approached southbound on the highway.
That pickup was driven by 18-year-old Garrett Frazee of Perkins, and the 10-year-old girl was a passenger. The report continues that Kelsey failed to yield to oncoming traffic and the pickup collided with her Toyota at the intersection. Kelsey was treated and released at Stillwater Medical Center for arm injuries, and Frazee refused treatment at the scene for a minor head injury.
The girl was admitted in serious condition at OU Medical Center. All three were using their seatbelts at the time of the collision, and the conditions of both drivers were "apparently normal."
