MOUNT HOLLY, VT : Mount Holly crash under investigation on Saturday, March 25th 2017
A local woman was injured after her sports utility vehicle crashed into a tree off of Shunpike Road on Saturday around 1 p.m., according to police.
Ashley Brown, 33, of Mount Holly, suffered a dislocated right ankle in the crash, police said in a press release.
When troopers arrived at the scene of the crash, on Shunpike Road near Lake Ninivah Road, they saw Brown’s 2004 Chevrolet Suburban off the roadway with moderate contact damage to the front end.
Brown had already been taken to Rutland Regional Medical Center for treatment of the injury to her right ankle.
After speaking with Brown at the hospital and assessing the scene, police determined that Brown had lost control of the SUV during snowy road conditions. The Suburban left the roadway, and struck a tree.
The Mount Holly Fire Department assisted at the scene.
The crash is still under investigation by troopers with the Vermont State police. Anyone with information about the crash is asked to call the Rutland barracks of the VSP at 773-9101.
