COVINGTON, OH : Police ID teen killed in scooter crash on Monday, February 13th 2017

A teen was killed when his scooter was struck by a vehicle in Covington, police said.

The 17-year-old was traveling near the five-way intersection in the vicinity of 25th, 26th and Madison avenues around 6:40 p.m. when the crash occurred.

Tuesday morning, Covington Police identified the victim as Logan Pence. He was pronounced dead at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center.

Pence attended Ludlow Independent Schools, according to the district's Board of Education. Counselors are at the school Tuesday for his classmates.

The Covington Police Department said the driver of the vehicle is cooperating with investigators.
