Medics transported 10 people to Mobile area hospitals after a serious, multi-vehicle wreck in the eastbound lanes of Interstate 10 caused major traffic delays Thursday
afternoon.The accident happened just before 2 p.m. between Broad and Virginia streets, according to the Mobile Fire-Rescue Department. Fire officials initially
reported one possible fatality in the collision but MFRD spokesman Steve Huffman said the person was able to be transported to a local hospital with injuries.A semi-
truck was among the vehicles involved in the crash. According to the Mobile Police Department, diesel fuel leaked onto the roadway and a HazMat team was called.The
leak was still active at 2:50 p.m., nearly an hour after the crash, Huffman said.By 3:30 p.m., two lanes of traffic were opened to motorists. Police asked motorists to
