Laredo, TX : Two men died after a car crash on Saturday, June 10, 2017
Two men died Saturday after a car crashed into them as they were pushing a disabled vehicle on Mines Road.
Laredo police said Jorge Salazar Jr., 20, and David Angel Alejandres, 19, were pushing the disabled Ford F-150 from behind when a Ford Mustang crashed into them and the rear of the pickup.
Salazar and Alejandres were each pronounced dead by the Webb County Medical Examiner’s Office at about 5:25 a.m. Saturday.
The Laredo Police Department said the crash was reported at about 3 a.m. at 11098 Mines Road, located near Big Bend and Fasken boulevards.
Preliminary information indicates a yellow 2006 Ford Mustang was traveling south on the outer lane of Mines when it struck the 2006 white F-150.
A third person who was pushing the right rear corner of the disabled truck survived. Police also said the driver of the pickup did not sustain any injuries.
LPD identified the driver of the Mustang as Miguel Angel Meza, 24.
As per procedure, a blood sample was taken from Meza.
LPD’s crash team is spearheading the investigation.
