SALT LAKE CITY, UT : 20-year-old driver arrested after prompting several Salt Lake crashes while believed to be under the influence on Friday, 24th November 2023

Police arrested a 20-year-old man suspected of being under the influence when he was witnessed driving recklessly and crashing into several other vehicles.

Officers with the Salt Lake City Police Department said that this investigation began around 9:30 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 24, when dispatch received reports of a hit-and-run near 2300 East Garfield Avenue.

One caller told dispatch that they saw a silver Honda Civic crash into a parked car in the area and then take off.

After this report, police said they began receiving additional calls that the same suspect vehicle was seen running red lights and driving the wrong way on 2300 East Foothill Drive.
