Men killed in Lake County crash were from Illinois

A driver killed in a Lake County crash Wednesday was previously convicted of reckless homicide in another deadly crash.learned Ronald Horton, 44, was convicted in the deaths of his cousin and another person after a 1998 crash in Illinois.

Investigators say Horton lost control of his car and hit a pickup on Wekiva River Road at State Road 46 in Sorrento.His passengers, 44-year-old Michael Sievert and 28-year-old Drew Bannister, were also killed.

All three were from Illinois.A dog riding in their car was also killed.The driver of the truck, 37-year-old Kevin Murphy from Sanford, suffered minor injuries.
