CABARRUS COUNTY, NC : Multiple lanes reopen on I-85 South in Cabarrus County after a crash on Friday, 20th October 2023

All southbound lanes of Interstate 85 reopened in Cabarrus County following a crash on Friday Oct. 20, according to NCDOT.
The crash happened around 1:30 p.m. on I-85 South near Exit 65, which is Old Beatty Ford Road near Kannapolis. The road reopened before 4 p.m. on Friday.
Cabarrus County Emergency Medical Services confirmed four people were taken to the hospital from the crash. No word on their conditions at this time.
