Head-on collision with Mack truck kills man - Arkansas
A Texarkana, Texas, man has died after the car he was driving went left of center and collided with an oncoming Mack truck, authorities said.Michael Dillon, 24, was driving a 2003 Buick north on U.S. 71 in Lockesburg shortly after 11 a.m. Tuesday when the car went across the centerline and hit a southbound 2001 Mack truck, according to an Arkansas State Police report.Dillon died from unspecified injuries. The truck driver wasn't hurt.It wasn't clear what caused the car to cross the line. Police described conditions at the time as clear and dry.The death was the 337th fatality in a traffic accident in Arkansas so far this year, according to preliminary figures.
