BREA, CA : Police find 1 dead, several injured in Calif. crash on Sunday, March 5th 2017

A police officer on patrol came across a car crash in Orange County that killed one and injured three others.

Brea police Lt. Peter Rodriguez tells KTLA-TV (http://bit.ly/2n2xP3t ) that authorities became aware of the deadly crash around 2:40 a.m. Sunday when an officer came across the scene on State Route 90 in Brea.

Rodriguez says the officer found several people passed out outside the two cars involved in the crash but wasn’t sure whether they were ejected or got out of the vehicles themselves.

A woman was declared dead at the scene and three others were taken to a hospital. Their condition wasn’t immediately clear.

The cause of the crash is under investigation but police say one of the drivers may have run a red light.
