Olympia, WA : Motorcycle rider in critical condition after Lacey crash early Monday, July 18, 2016

Two people were hospitalized early Monday after a car collided with a motorcycle in Lacey. One person involved is in critical condition.

Lacey Fire Department was called to the intersection of Carpenter Road and Mullen Road just after midnight when the crash was reported, Lacey Battalion Chief Patrick Harn said.

First responders found the motorcycle lying in the road and its driver in critical condition. Thurston County medic units transported the cyclist to Providence St. Peter Hospital in Olympia.

The driver of the car sustained minor injuries, Harn said, but was taken by ambulance to Providence St. Peter Hospital.

Thurston County Sheriff’s office is investigating the cause of the accident.
