Erie, PA : One person was seriously injured and another arrested following a one-vehicle crash on April, Saturday 22nd 2017
Pennsylvania State Police in Meadville said one person was seriously injured and another arrested following a one-vehicle crash that occurred Saturday morning on Hickory Corners Road in Randolph Township, Crawford County.
The driver, Gabrielle M. Harkness, 26, of Townville, lost control of the 2007 Volkswagen Jetta she was driving at about 7 a.m. and struck a guardrail before “flipping off of the bridge and into the stream,” state police said.
State police said Harkness was found to be under the influence of alcohol and was arrested.
One of two passengers in the vehicle, Dustin S. Evans, 31, of Meadville, was taken by ambulance to Meadville Medical Center before being flown to UPMC Hamot in Erie for treatment of a “possible substantial injury,” police said.
State police said the other passenger, Zachary T. Labowski, 20, of Union City, fled the scene. Police said they are not actively looking for Labowski.
