Spotsylvania,VI : Motorcycle rider killed in crash Monday in Spotsylvania on June, Sunday 4th 2017

A women riding on the back of a motorcycle was killed in a crash Sunday afternoon in Spotsylvania County.

Deputies responded to the scene of the incident around 12:30 p.m. in the area of Jefferson Davis Highway and Hickory Ridge Road,according to the Spotsylvania Sheriff’s Office. It was discovered that a silver sedan and a motorcycle collided at this location.The rear passenger on the motorcycle, Vickie S. Patton, 53, succumbed to the injuries sustained during the collision, according to the sheriff’s office. The agency’s crash reconstruction team responded to the scene to collect data and evidence.

The investigation into the cause of this tragic incident is ongoing, the sheriff’s office.
