Hawaii man killed after rollover crash in Tioga North Dakota
A pickup carrying two adult males crashed early Friday morning on a gravel road two miles west of Tioga, leaving one dead and the other injured, officials said.The driver, about 68 and of Hawaii, was traveling south on an unnamed county road in a 2003 Toyota Tacoma, according to the North Dakota Highway Patrol.At 12:04 a.m., the vehicle lost control, slid into the east ditch and rolled onto the passenger side facing southwest, said Sgt. Adam Dvorak, adding that what happened inside the vehicle was unknown.Neither the passenger, about 43 and of Kentucky, nor the driver were wearing seatbelts.Both males were transported to Tioga Medical Center. The driver died as a result of injuries suffered in the crash. The passenger was later transported to Trinity Hospital in Minot.The highway patrol along with the Williams County Sheriff’s Department and the Tioga Police Department investigated the incident.
