Carson City, NV : One person died after a high speed chase at the Carson City Airport on Thursday, February 4, 2016

Nevada Highway Patrol is investigating after a high speed chase in Carson City ended with a man's death.

According to the Carson City Sheriff's Office, deputies responded to reports of a hit-and-run Thursday. When they approached the suspect's vehicle, the suspect crashing into a law enforcement SUV and fled at a high speed.

The suspect lost control and crashed at the Carson City Airport. The driver was ejected from the vehicle and died from his injuries.

The Department of Public Safety has also been asked to investigate the entire incident.
