An Eastern Pennsylvania man died Thursday in a car crash in Washington County, officials said.

Gary Paul Visser, 53, of Hanover, York County, was killed about 2 p.m. on Interstate 79 in Amwell, according to the Washington County Coroner’s office.

The coroner’s office said Mr. Visser lost control of his car while driving northbound, struck a guide rail, and then collided with a tanker truck. He was ejected from the car and pronounced dead at the scene, the coroner’s office said.

State police are investigating, but the coroner’s office ruled Mr. Visser’s death as accidental.
