Colorado Springs, CO : One person dead after motorcycle collides with car at Union and Pikes Peak on Saturday, November 1, 2014

A motorcycle rider was killed after running a red light and hitting another vehicle, according to police. The accident happened shortly before 11p.m. Saturday at the intersection of Union Blvd. and Pikes Peak Ave. in Colorado Springs. Police say the rider was speeding south on Union when he/she ran a red light and hit a car that was traveling west on Pikes Peak. The driver of the car was taken to the hospital. The motorcycle rider was pronounced dead at the scene. Police have not released the names of the people involved in the accident. The accident is still under investigation.
