Baltimore, MD : Child dies in crash involving SUV, MTA bus on Monday evening, January 5, 2015

A child died when a sport utility vehicle collided with a Maryland Transit Administration bus Monday evening, according to Baltimore police.
The crash happened at the intersection of Wabash Avenue and West Northern Parkway just before 6:30 p.m.

Investigators said the bus and SUV were traveling east when the SUV struck the back of the bus.

The woman driving the SUV and the girl were taken to a nearby hospital, where the girl died. The woman is expected to survive, police said.

Baltimore and MTA police are still investigating.
