Reddick, FL : Woman killed in two-vehicle crash on Gainesville Road on Tuesday afternoon, March 8, 2016

A woman was killed and three others injured in a two-vehicle crash on Tuesday afternoon.

According to Florida Highway Patrol troopers, a pickup truck with two occupants – an adult male and juvenile – were driving north on Gainesville Road, just north of County Road 329.

A car, also with two occupants – a man and woman – was traveling south on Gainesville Road.

Authorities said the truck crossed the center line and veered into the path of the car, and collided with it.

Officials said it is unknown why the pickup driver entered the southbound lane.

An ambulance transported the four to UF Health Shands in Gainesville.

The crash occurred around 4:50 p.m. about two tenths of a mile from County Road 329, officials said.

Troopers are not releasing the names of the people in the crash pending notification of the family of the deceased.

Tuesday's death was the third in three days.

The first was Sunday that involved a motorcyclist, and the second was a pedestrian on Monday.
