COVENTRY, RI : 2 firefighters hurt in hit-and-run near CT border on Wednesday, 29h May 2024

Two firefighters were hurt in a hit-and-run that happened in Coventry, RI.

Officials said the firefighters responded to a call at a home in town on Wednesday night.

As they got out of their truck, the driver of an oncoming car slammed into an open fire vehicle door, which then hit and hurt the firefighters.

The driver of that oncoming car took off.
