Four people died and several others were injured in a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of Highway 64 and County G in rural Cornell, shortly after 5 p.m. Saturday.
Sheriff James L Kowalczyk said those dying in the crash were: Mikaila S. Toske, 23, of Eau Claire; Raven A. Ellin, 21, of Eau Claire; Jonathon J. Jorgensen, 35, of Eau Claire; and Kristine J. Kummer, 46, of Medford.
Kowalczyk said a northbound vehicle on County G failed to stop or yield at the intersection, striking a westbound truck pulling a trailer.
The northbound mini-van was driven by Cara L. Stevens, 23, of Eau Claire, while the westbound pickup truck that was pulling an enclosed trailer was driven by David J. Kummer, 47, of Medford.
The van’s passengers were Toske, Ellin, and Jorgensen.
Passengers in the pickup truck were Kristine Kummer, Cody J. Kummer, 26, of Medford, Michael A. Molitor, 60, of Medford and Nicole A. Rooni, 32, of Medford.
