Bakersfield, CA : One person died and another suffered serious injuries in a crash on Sunday, November, 5th 2017

One person died and another suffered serious injuries Sunday in a crash — believed to be alcohol-related — that occurred when a pickup rolled over east of Outlets at Tejon Parkway, the California Highway Patrol reported.

Around 2:30 p.m., officers received a call about a crash on Laval Road east of the Outlets, according to the CHP.

Officers found a 2007 Toyota pickup had traveled off the roadway and overturned multiple times. A man found lying on the ground a short distance from the vehicle died, and another man suffered major injuries, the CHP reported.

A coroner's release identified 23-year-old Genaro Fuentes Sumuano as the driver of the truck. He died at the scene.
