Wellford, SC : One person killed in police chase ends in crash near Wellford on Friday October 16 2015

A chase has ended in a crash at Bobo Road and McCarter Drive in the Wellford area.
Troopers said they attempted to pull over a vehicle because of a suspected DUI around 11 p.m. on Friday near Startex. The vehicle did not stop and a chase ensued.
The suspect's vehicle crashed into a wall and debris damaged a patrol car, causing the trooper to be unable to continue the chase, according to highway patrol.
The Duncan Police Department was also involved in the chase. A traffic reenactment team from the Greenville County Sheriff's Office was involved.
The Spartanburg County Coroner's Office said Destiny Nichole McDade, 22, of Hickory Drive, died as a result of a crash following the chase. An autopsy is scheduled for today and cause of death are pending microscopic and toxicological analysis.
