Jurupa Valley, CA: Motorcyclist killed in multi-vehicle crash in Jurupa Valley on Monday, August 3rd 2015

A motorcyclist was killed Monday in a multi-vehicle wreck on the Pomona (60) Freeway in Jurupa Valley.The crash was reported about 4:15 p.m. on the eastbound 60, near Pedley Street, according to the California Highway Patrol.The victim collided with a truck and may have been struck by another vehicle after he was ejected from his bike, according to reports from the scene.Paramedics arrived minutes later and pronounced the man dead at the scene.In addition to the motorcycle and truck, at least three other vehicles were involved in the crash, but no other injuries were reported, according to the Riverside County Fire Department.CHP officers shut down three lanes of the eastbound 60 to clear the accident scene and conduct an investigation. A SigAlert was issued at 4:30 p.m. because of worsening traffic at the location.Riverside County sheriff’s deputies also closed down on-ramps in the area to prevent more vehicles from flooding the rush-hour-clogged freeway.
