Morristown,TN : Cosby man uninjured in Sunday night wreck on March, Sunday 25th 2018

A Cosby man escaped serious injuries after his vehicle ran off Cosby Highway and overturned into a creek on Sunday night.

Several first responders were dispatched to the area of Cosby Highway near Huff Road concerning a single car accident just a little after 10 p.m. Sunday night.

Upon arrival, Cocke County sheriff deputy Wes Keys said he observed a 2002 Ford van on its top in Cosby Creek with the driver, Douglas Keith Stuart, 56, Cosby, still inside the vehicle and could not get his seatbelt unhooked.

Cosby Volunteer Fire Department arrived at the scene and was able to successfully extricate Douglas.

According to the report, Douglas refused medical treatment and there were no charges filed.
