Greeley, CT : Driver followed all traffic laws in fatal pedestrian crash on Sunday, 29th November, 2020

The driver in a fatal crash involving a pedestrian this weekend was following all traffic laws when the crash occurred, according to a release from Greeley police.

About 3:30 p.m. Sunday, witnesses called 911 to report a black Dodge SUV was traveling north in the 2500 block of 11th Avenue when a man stepped off the sidewalk and into the roadway. The SUV struck the man, who was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Weld County Coroner’s Office will release the identity of the pedestrian pending notification of next of kin.

Police continue to investigate the crash. Any witnesses who have not spoken with police are urged to call (970) 350-9605 and speak with Traffic Investigator Tharp.
